Modern Frankenstein

This character design was inspired by Mary Shelley’s character of Victor Frankenstein, as well as the legacy of the story and the Universal Studios films from the 1930s. I incorporated common features from the characters of both Victor Frankenstein, with a long victorian-style coat and a dark academic look, as well as the strong square features of the Monster, and the iconic lightning patterned hair of the Bride of Frankenstein. I also wanted to incorporate features from modern fashion, like the wide-legged trousers and wingtip shoes.
